The problem

Your inbox is a second job

Quotes, bills, newsletters, client questions, and spam all land in the same place. You read each one to decide what it is, then forward, file, or answer it. On a busy day, the important email gets buried under the rest.

Asana's Anatomy of Work report found that knowledge workers spend about 60% of their time on work about work. Sorting email is a big part of that. It feels productive, but it isn't the work your clients pay for. And every time you stop to sort, it takes a few minutes to get back into the task you left.

What changes for you

  • Your inbox opens to what needs you, not everything at once
  • Replies to common questions are already drafted
  • Bills and receipts land in one folder for your bookkeeper
  • Urgent client emails stand out instead of hiding in the pile
  • A short daily summary instead of hours of reading

How it works

How inbox triage runs, step by step

  1. A new email arrives

The automation reads each new message in your Gmail or Outlook inbox, or in a shared address like info@. Nothing is moved or answered yet at this point.

  2. It sorts by what the email is

AI decides if it's a new inquiry, a bill, a client question, a vendor update, or junk. It labels the email and moves it to the right folder.

  3. Email inbox automation drafts the reply

For common questions, it writes a draft in your voice based on your own past answers. The draft waits for you to read, edit, and send.

  4. The right person gets it

Bills go to whoever does your books, urgent client issues go to the person who handles them, and you get a short daily summary of the rest.

FAQ

Questions about inbox triage

How long does email inbox automation take to set up?

Sorting and labelling can usually be running within a week. Drafted replies take a bit longer, since we tune them on your real emails until they sound right. You see how it works and approve it before it touches your live inbox. We start with one inbox and a few clear labels, then add more once you trust it.

Will the drafted replies sound robotic?

They are based on how you already write, so they use your phrases and your sign off. You read every draft before it goes out. Over time, you decide which simple replies, if any, can be sent without a review.

What happens with emails the AI isn't sure about?

Those stay in your main inbox with a flag so you look at them. The automation doesn't act on anything it can't sort with confidence. Leaving one email for you is better than sending the wrong reply. You can also tell it to always leave certain senders, like your biggest client, for you.

Is it safe to let AI read my client emails?

We set it up so it only reads the folders it needs and never deletes anything. For law firms, we build with client confidentiality in mind, and for Ontario clinics, with PHIPA in mind. You can remove its access at any time. Please treat this as general information, not legal advice.

Who actually builds this?

Alex, who runs Aluri from Burlington, builds each automation himself. He has built automation for teams at Shopify and AtkinsRéalis. You start with a free 30 minute automation audit, and your first automation runs free for 30 days. If you keep it, a fixed price is agreed in writing.
